36:T4df,

Seen from the working side, the long pine carcass is divided in three, with an open shelved bay on the left, a rack of pigeonholes over a deep drawer in the middle, and two drawers above another deep one on the right. The brass cup pulls have kept some of their shine, and the wood is a warm reddish brown that darkens inside the bays. The framed top is scuffed and marked, with a small notch cut out of the back left corner. It would make a good kitchen island or a studio workbench.

37:T4da,

Round turned knobs in a darker wood stand well proud of the honey coloured pine drawer fronts, which run two short over three long and deepen towards the bottom, each with a small brass escutcheon at the keyhole. The top has a moulded edge, plenty of knots and a couple of fine shrinkage lines along the grain, and the moulding around the base is scuffed and chipped along its front. It sits on squat turned bun feet, at a useful height for a lamp and a mirror in a spare room.
