Green transferware, and a deeper coupe form than most — dense roses and scrollwork worked right to the rim with barely a gap left anywhere. The green has printed strongly, going almost black in the shadows of the design. Amber staining pools through the centre and the glaze is crazed overall. Stamped L. Bertrand, Bordeaux, pattern Anglais. The colour is the reason to buy it.
