Plain cream ironstone with a shaped and moulded rim, cut into soft lobes and edged with a raised line. No pattern anywhere — the interest is all in the profile and the faint spiral the potter's tool left across the well. A short scratch runs off-centre, and light staining gathers on the underside where the Sarreguemines script mark sits. Handsome under something else, or stacked in with the rest.
