The Black Diamond Storm 450 Headlamp in Matte Black is the "never leave home without it" headlamp for hikers who refuse to be caught off guard. It runs 450 lumens of seriously bright light and backs it up with Dual-Fuel flexibility — use the included rechargeable BD 1500 Li-ion battery or swap in three standard AAA batteries when you're deep in the backcountry without a power source. It's the kind of headlamp that works whether you're prepping for a summit or prepping for a blackout.

Why we love it

PowerTap Technology lets you hit full brightness with a single touch from any setting — no fumbling through modes in the dark. The Brightness Memory feature means you turn it back on at exactly the brightness you left it. RGB night vision modes (red, green, and blue) let you preserve your night vision for everything from navigation to camp cooking, and peripheral white lighting handles close-up work. IP67-rated waterproofing keeps it running in rain, snow, and even brief submersion.

About Black Diamond

Black Diamond has been building gear for people who take the mountains seriously since 1957. The Storm 450 comes backed by a 3-year warranty and is designed to be serviceable — so when the battery eventually needs attention, you're replacing a battery, not a headlamp.
