What is the Original Polydron Frameworks Multi Pack?

The Original Polydron Frameworks Multi Pack (code 10-3043) is a 460-piece geometry construction kit from Polydron for children aged 6 and over. It contains 160 equilateral triangles, 80 squares, 80 right angle triangles, 40 isosceles triangles, 40 pentagons, 20 root 2 triangles, 20 hexagons and 20 rectangles in 4 colours, plus an Exploring Frameworks activity booklet. Polydron describes it as a massive set for building structures and geometric solids.

What can children build with the Frameworks Multi Pack?

Eight different shapes give children far more options than a basic set, from simple solids to large structures. Frameworks pieces let children see inside the shape and explore the space within, and Polydron describes the range as ideal for investigating shapes, angles, edges, vertices, planes and tangents. The pieces are lightweight and easy to connect, and the range is fully compatible with Original Polydron.

For schools

  • 460 pieces support whole-class work on 3D shape at KS1, KS2 and KS3.
  • Eight shapes allow investigation of angles, planes and a wide range of solids.
  • See-inside models help pupils count hidden edges and vertices accurately.
  • Concrete resource for Quality First Teaching, maths clubs and SEND provision.
  • Dishwasher safe at 70°C for straightforward cleaning.

For parents and home use

  • Enough pieces for siblings to build large projects together.
  • Varied shapes keep older children challenged over time.
  • Joining pieces develops fine motor skills and planning.
  • The Exploring Frameworks booklet gives activities to start with.

Supporting learners with SEND and learning differences

Hands-on construction helps many learners with SEND and learning differences grasp shape and space ideas that can feel abstract on paper. With Frameworks, every edge and vertex of a model stays in view, so children can point to and count properties directly. Different colours help separate shapes and faces visually. Joining pieces gives fine motor practice, and the wide range of shapes means adults can set simple or stretching tasks for each learner.

The Original Polydron Frameworks Multi Pack is available to order from The Dyslexia Shop, a UK specialist in resources for SEND and learning differences.
