The Original Polydron School Geometry Set (code 10-3020) is a 268-piece geometry kit from Polydron for children aged 4 and over. It contains 266 shapes and 2 Polydron protractors: 80 equilateral triangles, 40 right angle triangles, 60 isosceles triangles, 24 root 2 triangles, 30 squares, 20 hexagons and 12 pentagons. The pieces snap together at the edges to form a strong hinge.
Seven shape types in 4 colours let pupils compare different triangles, build tessellations and fold nets into prisms, pyramids and other polyhedra. The 2 Polydron protractors add angle work to shape building. Each square measures 7.3 x 7.3 cm. Polydron states the pieces are BPA free and 100% recyclable, and they connect with Crystal Polydron, Polydron Frameworks, Polydron Bridges and Polydron Engineer.
Hands-on construction helps many learners with SEND and learning differences make sense of geometry that can feel abstract on paper. Holding a right angle triangle beside an isosceles triangle shows the difference clearly, and a protractor on a real shape makes angle work more concrete. The bright pieces give clear visual cues, and joining edges builds fine motor control.
The Original Polydron School Geometry Set is available to order from The Dyslexia Shop, a UK specialist in resources for SEND and learning differences, for use in the classroom or at home.
