We've updated our Bungee Brake Kit to include the Stainless Steel brake block instead of the old Nylon block. We will continue to stock replacement Nylon blocks for our customers who have previously purchased a Bungee Brake Kit.
The Bungee Brake brings each ride to a smooth and gentle stop. A stainless steel block rides freely on the cable until a trolley bumps into it near the last stretch of the line; the bungee cord takes over from there, stretching to bring the rider to a stop before easing them back down to the low point. It's the braking method we build many of our kits around, now available as a stainless upgrade that won't wear out and need replacing like the plastic version does.
Stainless steel block, compatible with cable up to 1/2" in diameter, built to outlast a plastic block for years
1/2" heavy-duty bungee cord for smooth, consistent stopping
Rubber impact bumper to cushion contact with the block
Mounting hardware, bolts, eye-bolt, eye-lag screw, and quick-links, for a complete setup
Cable back-up sling for the bungee anchor eye-lag screw
Three builds to match your run:
20 FT for lines up to 200 feet
30 FT for 200-500 feet, or
Double 30 FT when a longer, faster line needs extra stopping force
Stainless steel construction built for repeat, commercial-level use
Rated for zip lines with a maximum slope of 6 percent (a 6-foot drop per 100 feet of distance)
Designed & Assembled in Oregon, USA
If you want every rider to stop the same smooth way, every time, without having to do anything themselves, this is the brake we'd put on our own zip line.
