EXPLAINED:

Why we NEVER USE seed oils

Seed oils including sunflower oil, safflower oil and canola oil can cause inflammation in your dog due to their high omega-6 levels.

They are unfortunately very common in dog food. Check the ingredients label on your dog's food.

While small amounts of omega-6 fats are necessary, they can be obtained through natural ingredients. Adding seed oils can cause excessive intake of omega-6 versus omega-3, activating inflammatory molecules such as PGE2 and cytokines.

Another health concern with seed oils is how they're heavily processed, which can strip them of beneficial nutrients and leave behind harmful byproducts.

Bottom line: seed oils are not a necessary or beneficial ingredient, and they may worsen chronic health conditions.

That's why yumwoof only uses anti-inflammatory fats in our dog food, including the highest levels of omega-3s and coconut oil. We believe it's a key reason why so many dogs have success with our food.

FAQ

Many dogs who switched to perfect kibble saw reduced inflammatory issues including diarrhea, bloating, constipation, skin allergies, joint aches and more. Our premium recipe is high in Cocomega™ superfats, which have been shown to reduce inflammation and improve your dog's microbiome diversity. Your dog also benefits from low carb macros and our refusal to use peas, legumes, rice, potato and other inflammatory ingredients. That's why our food costs a little more—you're getting the absolute best nutrition with quality ingredients and no fillers.

The Cocomega™ effect is a new discovery showing how coconut oil combined with omega-3s have a modulating effect on each other, increasing their anti-inflammatory properties. Much research has been done over the last 3 years showing the Cocomega™ effect leads to more microbiome diversity (a biomarker of longevity), more good gut bacteria promoting immunity, less bad gut bacteria causing digestive issues, and reduced inflammation across your dog's entire body. The perfect kibble recipe includes exactly the right amounts of coconut oil and omega-3s to promote the Cocomega™ effect and see its benefits in your dog.
