Build a Finished Outdoor Deck Without Traditional Framing. Warm Teak Composite Decking on a Galvanized Steel Frame, Ready to Position and Connect.
The Teak Modular Composite Deck Platform is a complete decking system in a modular format: each section combines a black galvanized steel structural frame, adjustable support legs, and pre-installed Teak co-extrusion composite deck boards into a ready-to-use platform. There is no need to build a conventional wood subframe first. Position the modules, level the legs, connect adjacent sections, and you have a finished elevated deck surface.
Available in two sizes to suit different project scales. The 1m x 1m (~39.4" x 39.4") modules arrive pre-assembled with boards already installed, making them ideal for compact patios, smaller outdoor seating areas, and accent platforms. The 2m x 1m (~78.7" x 39.4") modules provide twice the surface area per section, reducing the number of modules needed for larger deck builds. Both sizes use the same Teak composite decking, the same black galvanized steel frame system, and connect together to create larger layouts in any shape.
The Teak finish brings the warmth of natural wood to any outdoor space: a rich, medium-brown tone with a natural grain texture that works equally well in backyard patios, poolside platforms, outdoor dining areas, pergola and gazebo decking, garden spaces, and rooftop terraces. No sanding, staining, or sealing required, ever.
Each module provides its own steel structural frame so you skip the conventional joist-and-frame build process entirely. Position the platform where you want it, level the adjustable support legs to account for uneven ground, and connect adjacent frames using the included connectors. Add more modules to expand the deck in any direction: square, rectangular, L-shaped, or custom configurations are all possible by combining units.
The decking boards are co-extrusion hollow composite, engineered for outdoor use and finished in a warm Teak tone. Co-extrusion composite wraps a protective outer shell around the board's core material, giving it better resistance to staining, fading, and surface wear than standard single-layer composite decking. The hollow-core construction keeps each board lightweight without sacrificing surface strength. The warm Teak color pairs naturally with tropical-inspired outdoor furniture, teak and rattan seating, natural stone, concrete, and warm-toned landscape materials.
The structural frame is manufactured from black galvanized steel, which provides long-term corrosion resistance in outdoor environments. The frame handles the load-bearing work so the composite deck boards above stay stable and level. This eliminates the maintenance concerns of a wood subframe (rot, warping, termites) while keeping the overall system low-profile and professional-looking from the side.

Why YouShouldHaveIt
Q: What is the difference between the 1m x 1m and 2m x 1m modules?
A: The 1m x 1m module arrives pre-assembled with the composite deck boards already installed, so it is ready to position and level on-site. The 2m x 1m module ships with the frame components and boards separate for on-site assembly; it covers about twice the area per section and is the better choice for larger deck builds where fewer seams between modules is preferred.
Q: Do the modules connect to each other?
A: Yes. Each module includes frame connectors that link adjacent sections together. You can arrange modules side-by-side or end-to-end to build square, rectangular, L-shaped, or custom deck layouts.
Q: Do I need to build a wood subframe first?
A: No. Each module includes its own galvanized steel structural frame and support legs, so there is no need to construct a traditional wood joist system before installation. Level the legs on your surface and connect your modules.
Q: Can the deck be installed on uneven ground?
A: The adjustable support legs allow you to level the platform on moderately uneven surfaces. For significantly uneven or sloped ground, site preparation may be needed before installation.
Q: What are the deck boards made of?
A: The boards are co-extrusion hollow composite decking. Co-extrusion wraps a protective outer shell around the board core, providing better stain, fade, and scratch resistance than standard single-layer composite decking.
Q: Does the composite decking fade in direct sunlight?
A: The boards are UV-resistant and engineered to hold color without significant fading. No re-staining or sealing is required to maintain the Teak finish.
Q: What are the side skirts and do I need them?
A: Side skirt fascia panels are optional black metal panels that cover the exposed steel frame along the visible perimeter edges of your deck, giving it a clean, finished appearance from the sides. They are sold separately. You only need them around exposed edges; interior joints between modules are hidden where the frames connect.
Q: Is this product suitable for wet areas like pool surrounds?
A: Yes. The composite deck boards and galvanized steel frame are both engineered to resist moisture, mold, and corrosion, making this system suitable for poolside and other wet outdoor environments.
Q: How do I clean the decking?
A: Rinse with water and use a soft brush or cloth for general cleaning. No special treatments, sealers, or strippers are needed.
Q: Is there a minimum order quantity?
A: The 1m x 1m module has a 10-piece minimum order. Contact us at (858) 261-4068 or media@youshouldhaveit.com for details on the 2m x 1m module.
Q: Is free shipping included?
A: Yes, free shipping within the contiguous United States.
Q: Do you have a showroom where I can see the product in person?
A: Yes: 10926 Woodside Ave Suite A, Santee, CA 92071. Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm.
