Cerakote is a ceramic-polymer coating developed for aerospace and automotive parts that work hard constantly. At 20 microns it is thinner than a human hair, yet it bonds to the machined brass beneath and adds abrasion, corrosion, chemical and impact resistance. Under it is our Mechanical Pen, machined in England from a solid block of brass, with a knurled grip, a wide barrel that reduces hand fatigue over a long day at the desk or drawing board, and a twist mechanism that opens with one hand.
