Machined in England from a solid block of brass, stainless steel or ceramic-coated brass, with a knurled grip, a wide barrel that reduces hand fatigue over a long day at the desk or drawing board, and a twist mechanism that opens with one hand. It comes fitted with a Schmidt easyFlow 9000 and takes any standard G2 refill, with hundreds of inks and tips to choose from. The map is engraved on the barrel by our engraver in South London. Made for the people who use a pen hardest, and the same tool for everyone else.

The brass version darkens with handling into a patina that records its own travels. Steel and the ceramic-coated green wear far more slowly and keep their marks to themselves. Guaranteed for life.

The artwork comes from the Lást Maps studio: “Inspired by hand cartography, “World Explorer” is a unique contemporary yet timeless map of the world, celebrating the meeting of old and new to inspire your next adventure, whether on the page or on travels around the Globe.”
