Tiger Bomber

It gets zipped up before dawn on the North Coast 500, headlights cutting a narrow tunnel through cold air and empty miles. The Tiger Bomber settles in fast. Weight on the shoulders. Collar turned up. Wind testing every seam as the road unwinds through dark lochs and long, patient climbs. This is not fast travel. It is committed movement.

By late afternoon the weather closes in, sleet riding the wind sideways, the jacket darkening as it does its job without comment. Hands come out of pockets stiff, then warm again. When the engine finally goes quiet, there is a stop that feels earned. A Guinness hits the table, heavy and uncomplicated, steam lifting off shoulders while the room hums back to life. Outside, the night looks metallic, almost unreal, like something lifted from Blade Runner. Inside, the jacket stays on. No reason to take it off yet.

The Tiger Bomber exists for conditions that ask questions and expect answers.
