Winton Shapeable Leather Hat

The day starts early, heat already sitting low and heavy as the track cuts into the Namib Desert. The Winton is shaped once, then left alone. Dust settles into the crown. The hand painted band is vibrant. Wind finds the brim and tests it. It holds.

Later, as the light drops and the air finally cools, a Windhoek Lager appears from the back of a Land Rover Defender 110. The hat stays on while the ground radiates the day back at you.
