"Honesty is always the best policy," said George Washington, who had one of the biggest whiskey distilleries in the country at Mount Vernon.

"Without Freedom of Thought, there can be no such Thing as Wisdom; and no such Thing as publick Liberty, without Freedom of Speech," said Ben Franklin, who published The Drinker's Dictionary, listing 200+ slang phrases for being drunk ("Pidgeon Ey'd," "Jambled," "had a Thump over the Head with Sampson's Jawbone," etc.).

Makes a great gift for a history or politics buff, teacher, lawyer, or lover of the American dream. Toast the USA's founding with glasses bearing portraits and quotes from the main guys who made it happen.
