The Denim Double Coat is two layers of our 100% Non-Superwashed, 100% Wool Denim. It will withstand some very very severe weather.

- The high collar is designed to block serious winds. For additional warmth and protection, a detachable Double Hood can be purchased separately
- Two front Cargo Pockets with both zippers and button closures, and two additional Handwarmer Pockets are tucked behind them
- Front closure features a robust YKK Double Zipper, protected by a Storm Flap secured by our signature Slot Buttons
- Adjustable sleeve length with approximately 1.5 in. of fabric allowance built into the cuff for tailoring
- Cord-drawn cinch at the back for waist adjustment
- Milspec water-resistant thread throughout

VERSATILITY: The Denim Double Coat will handle just about any weather in the Lower 48 and farther North. The DDC can be dressed up and worn formally, but is equally at home in the toughest of wilderness conditions.
ANECDOTES: This product was in development for several years under the name North Maine Double Coat, made in Jacquard Fabric. A number of samples were made and sold but in the end we felt two layers of the FullWeight Jacquard fabric was too bulky around the shoulders, and when we developed the denim fabric, we felt it to be the perfect fit. (But the people with the North Maine Double Coat really like it and believe we should go into production with that, as well!)

If your wool does not seem dirty, don't feel obligated to clean it ... even if you have not cleaned it for years.
