Chinese Qing dynasty carved long bench seat constructed from Elm. Featuring large ruyi cloud motif decoration on the legs. Made with mortise and tenon style joinery and supported by thick legs

This altar bench exemplifies the refined craftsmanship of classical Chinese furniture design. The substantial elm construction reveals deep grain character and warm patina accumulated over generations, whilst the hand-carved ruyi cloud motifs—symbols of good fortune and harmony—showcase skilled artisanal work. Traditional mortise and tenon joinery ensures structural integrity without nails or fasteners, a hallmark of authentic period construction. The generous seating depth and sturdy round legs make it equally suited to contemporary dining rooms, entryways, or as a striking display piece.

Ideal for collectors seeking authentic heritage furniture with provenance and presence. Approximately 300 years old
