Red, red, and red. The iconic colour fills the Woosung street that is constantly alive with people, taxis, and minibuses. The neon lights hang low, while roofs of the vehicles almost touch them.
Revisiting them after 2 years since I last saw them, most of the neon lights were taken down, erasing what made this street iconic. The pawn shop’s neon still hangs on the wall, yet the colours have faded away.
This 3D frame summarises the ever changing culture of Hong Kong. Though Hong Kong catches on trends really quickly, the traditional side of Hong Kong is often ignored; Neon lights are taken down, old buildings and transportations are being reformed. This 3D frame makes a perfect gift for those who love the retro-side of Hong Kong.
