This version of the Brody swaps the original’s fabric shade for a tapered bell of natural travertine. The stone’s open pores and soft sandy tones give it an earthy, hand-finished texture, and no two shades are exactly alike. Above the shade, a brass loop handle joins a slim rod and a short length of chain, which gives it an old-world look and keeps the fixture hanging level. The light shines straight down through the open base and casts a warm pool of light, a good fit over a kitchen island, a dining table, or in a foyer.
