Your pocket knife goes everywhere. Its edge should keep up.

LIL Stick lies flat on a tailgate, a truck console, a workbench, or the top of a cooler. Set it down, draw the blade across it, spine forward and edge trailing. Tip first, heel last. The angle is set like buttering bread.
7½ inches. Under 5 ounces. It rides in a pack, a glovebox, or a pocket.
Made by a sharpening shop in Edina, Minnesota.
"So easy to have around. Fits in most pockets, is light and works great."
Steve, verified customer
Every LIL Stick has a working side and a finishing side. Start on the coarser one, move to the finer one, and stop. That's the whole progression.
Not sure? Every Day Carry covers most pocket knives. Choose Hunter if your knife regularly gets worked hard enough that a light touch-up isn't enough.
60 days to decide
Use it for 60 days. If your knife isn't holding its edge better, send it back and we'll refund it.
Instructions are on the handle. Every LIL Stick has a QR code on it. Scan it and the how-to video comes up. Not a card you'll lose, not a manual in a drawer. It stays with the tool.

A pocket knife gets used for everything and sharpened for nothing. Boxes, tape, cord, food, the thing nobody else has a tool for. The edge doesn't fail all at once. It just gets a little worse every week until you stop reaching for it.
A few passes on the LIL Stick, once a week or whenever it starts to drag, and the knife stays the one you reach for.
"I know it's for pocket knives but it's great for small work at my [kitchen] station and in my knife roll too."
Ben, professional chef
Field dressing is where a dull knife stops being an inconvenience. You press harder, you lose control, and control is the whole thing when your hand is inside an animal.
LIL Stick goes in the pack. Set it on the tailgate or a flat rock between animals, or partway through one. A few passes and the knife is back. No stones to keep wet, no rod to balance, nothing to set up.
"We take it Elk hunting. It's light and works great. Put some reflective cord on it to make it easier to see with a headlamp in low light conditions."
Jeff, hunter
LIL Stick helps keep an edge. It doesn't bring one back from nothing.
If the knife is genuinely dull, if it slides instead of biting, it needs sharpening first. Send it to us or bring it in, then carry the LIL Stick to hold that edge through the season.
Yes. Diamond cuts everything a folder is likely to be made of, including S30V, S35VN, M390, MagnaCut, and the rest of the powder steels. It also handles plain carbon and stainless.
Start on the coarser side and finish on the finer one. On Everyday Carry that's 30 then 9. On Hunter it's 45 then 30. If the knife only feels a little tired, the finer side alone is usually enough.
A rod asks you to hold the bevel angle freehand, stroke after stroke, usually with one hand holding the rod. LIL Stick lies flat and sets the angle for you.
Whenever the knife starts to drag. For daily carry, about once a week. In the field, whenever you feel it.
Yes. Work the flat back of the blade, not the scalloped side. It will not cut new serrations.
