Alabaster is a natural, porous stone. Veining, tone, and small marks vary from piece to piece and are not defects.
- Turn off power at the breaker before installing. A licensed electrician is recommended.
- The pendant comes with a 59″ / 150cm cord. Set it to your preferred hanging height when fixing the canopy to the junction box.
- Dust the globe with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use water or cleaning sprays on the stone.
- Let the bulb cool before handling the globe or changing the bulb.
What bulb does the Selene pendant use?
One G9 bulb. G9 is a small two-pin bulb, not a standard screw-in base, so choose G9 bulbs. A warm white 3000K bulb gives the stone its softest glow.
How big is the fixture?
The fixture measures W 9.1″ x D 5.9″ x H 14.6″ / W 23cm x D 15cm x H 37cm, from the top of the rod to the bottom of the globe. The 59″ / 150cm cord above it sets the hanging height and can be shortened during installation.
Can I hang several together?
Yes. Two or three in a row work well over a kitchen island or dining table, and a cluster at staggered heights suits a stairwell or entryway. Each pendant needs its own power point or a multi-port canopy.
Does it plug in, or does it need to be hardwired?
It is hardwired. The canopy mounts over a standard ceiling junction box, and there is no plug. We recommend installation by a licensed electrician.
Which finishes are available, and will my alabaster look like the photos?
Black, brushed nickel, and brass. Alabaster is a natural stone, so the veining and tone differ on every globe. Clean it with a soft, dry cloth and keep it away from water, as the stone is porous.
