The Velisse Alabaster Dome Wall Sconce hangs a natural alabaster dome from a slim drop rod, carried by an arched arm on a tall oval backplate. The open bottom sends light down, while the stone glows with its cloudy veining in a soft 3000K tone. It comes in black, brushed nickel, or aged brass, and measures W 9.1″ x H 19.7″ / W 23cm x H 50cm with an 11″ / 28cm wall projection.

Alabaster is a natural, porous stone. Veining, tone and small marks vary from piece to piece and are not defects.
- Turn off power at the breaker before installing. A licensed electrician is recommended.
- Mount the backplate upright with the arm at the top, so the shade hangs straight down.
- Dust the shade with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use water or cleaning sprays on the stone.
- Let the bulb cool before handling the shade or changing the bulb.
What bulb does the Velisse wall sconce use?
One bulb with an E26 or E27 base. The bulb shows at the open bottom, so a decorative warm white 3000K bulb looks best.
How big is it, and how far does it stick out from the wall?
It projects 11″ / 28cm from the wall. The full size is W 9.1″ x H 19.7″ / W 23cm x H 50cm.
Does the light shine down or glow all around?
Both. The open bottom sends light downward, and the alabaster dome glows softly around the bulb.
Does it plug in, or does it need to be hardwired?
It is hardwired. The backplate mounts over a standard junction box and it is controlled by a wall switch; there is no plug or cord. We recommend installation by a licensed electrician.
Which finishes are available, and will my alabaster look like the photos?
Black, brushed nickel, and aged brass. Alabaster is a natural stone, so the clouding and tone differ on every shade. Clean it with a soft, dry cloth and keep it away from water, as the stone is porous.
