Join us for an evening of learning about natural dyes, different fibers and bringing the practice home with you. This workshop will be an introduction to natural dyes and dyeing techniques. We will be working with an array of seasonal botanicals, flowers, tree barks and vegetable scraps. 

We will explore colors through water color papers, fabric swatches, and repurposing your own items. No experience is necessary. We invite you to bring three to four pieces of your old clothes/textiles that have been buried in the back of your closet and in need for some TLC. Items need to be a natural fiber- silk dyes very well but cotton, linen, hemp and rayon will work too. Blank items such as silk pillows will be available for purchase to dye. Each ticket comes with a 10”x10” silk hankie.
