The Garnet is an oval dining table built from solid walnut and epoxy resin. A deep red river runs the full length of the top, held between two walnut slabs and sealed under a high gloss finish. Four turned solid wood legs carry the oval, so a classic base sits under a contemporary surface.

Main Features

• Oval solid walnut top with a deep red epoxy river running end to end.
• High gloss finish that keeps the grain and the colour under one clear surface.
• Four turned solid wood legs, shaped on the lathe rather than cut from metal.
• Four sizes from 80 x 40 inches to 96 x 48 inches, seating six to ten.

Why an Oval Table

An oval top has no corners to walk around, so it suits a room where the table sits in the traffic. The curve also lets you seat one more person at each end than a rectangle of the same length, and it softens a dining room full of straight lines. On the turned legs the table reads as traditional from across the room and modern once you reach the surface.

Dining Experience and Style

The red river is the centre of the table and everything else is kept quiet around it. Walnut grain runs along both edges, the gloss lifts the colour under pendant light, and the lathe-turned legs carry the weight without boxing in the chairs. It works as a daily kitchen table and holds its own when the room is set for guests.
