Thumbprint Artifacts celebrates the season with this collection of hand-poured, hand-painted candles made in South Africa. Each white candle is brushed with classic holiday patterns in red, deep green, soft green, and gold, from holly leaves and lacy Christmas blooms to gold florals and a cheerful checkerboard. Because every piece is painted by hand, each one carries its own small variations while staying true to the collection’s traditional look. The candles are crafted primarily by single mothers from a rural community, and on average each artisan supports an extended family of 12 to 15 people.
