Copper Creek Damascus Hunting Knife – Epoxy Handle & Belt Sheath

The Copper Creek is a handmade fixed-blade hunting knife combining a compact field profile with distinctive Damascus patterning and Western styling. Measuring 8 inches overall, it features a 4-inch Damascus steel blade, a green-blue epoxy resin handle, and a decorated leather belt sheath. Its manageable dimensions make it suitable for hunters, ranchers, campers, and collectors seeking a versatile knife for field dressing, skinning, and appropriate outdoor cutting tasks.

The blade has a gently curved cutting edge, a defined point, and a broad working surface. These characteristics provide useful edge length for controlled slicing while maintaining a compact shape for more detailed field work. Flowing layered patterns extend across the blade face, with several bold parallel lines positioned near the cutting edge. As with other patterned-steel blades, the exact appearance may vary between handmade pieces.

Four-Inch Damascus Steel Blade

The 4-inch blade is identified as Damascus steel and has a contrasting polished cutting edge. A bright metal section at the blade-to-handle transition creates a clean visual break between the patterned blade and colorful grip. The shaped finger area beneath this transition helps establish a natural hand position. No unconfirmed layer count, hardness rating, steel composition, blade thickness, or edge-retention period is stated.

Green-Blue Epoxy Resin Handle

The handle features swirling green and blue tones suspended within polished epoxy resin. Its curved profile follows the shape of the hand and complements the compact hunting blade. Two visible pins secure the scales, including one decorative mosaic-style pin. A lined opening near the rear provides an attachment point for a customer-supplied lanyard. Resin movement and coloring may differ slightly between individual handmade knives.

Western Leather Belt Sheath

A brown leather sheath is included with the pictured knife. Its front panel features carved floral and leaf-style tooling surrounded by a stamped border. Dark leather edging and stitching reinforce the Western presentation. A visible elongated belt slot supports convenient belt attachment; the exact carry angle will depend on the sheath construction, belt dimensions, and the wearer’s preferred setup.

For Hunting and Field Dressing

The Copper Creek is designed for users who prefer a compact fixed blade for controlled skinning, field dressing, and suitable campsite tasks. Its patterned blade, colorful handle, and tooled sheath also give it strong collector appeal. Explore more options in our handmade skinning knives and hunting knives collections. Additional Western patterns are available among our cowboy and bull cutter knives.

Care Instructions

Hand-clean the blade after use and dry it immediately. Apply a thin coating of suitable knife oil before storage to help limit moisture exposure. Never use a dishwasher or leave the knife soaking in water. Wipe the resin handle with a soft cloth. Periodically condition the sheath with an appropriate leather-care product, and store the clean, oiled blade outside the sheath during extended periods.
