A game of backgammon becomes a portrait of 1970s resort life in Slim Aarons' Poolside Backgammon. Photographed in 1972 at Villa Nirvana, the Acapulco retreat of Oscar Obregon, the scene captures guests enjoying a leisurely afternoon in the exclusive Las Brisas neighborhood. The tropical setting, relaxed social atmosphere, and effortless glamour embody the world Aarons documented throughout his career. Reproduced on archival Fuji Crystal Archive paper and custom-framed by hand, the photograph brings a distinctive piece of mid-century leisure culture to the wall.
