Captured around 1959, this photograph shows Miles Davis recording at New York City's 30th Street Studios, the legendary space where some of jazz's most enduring recordings took shape. Photographer Vernon L. Smith catches Davis in the studio, offering a glimpse of the musician at work during a pivotal period in his career. Produced by Sonic Editions, the print is made to order and custom-framed by hand, with archival photographic paper and conservation-grade materials chosen to preserve the image. Each edition is individually numbered and includes the story behind the photograph on the reverse.
