The US1K brings aNueNue's celebrated Koa Bird tone down into a soprano body - and it doesn't hold back. Some koa sopranos can sound a little reserved, but this one has real volume and headroom to go with the barky attack, quick decay and rich harmonics a good soprano should have.

It's built from solid Hawaiian Koa throughout - top, back and sides - so every instrument shows its own unique vertical grain. That koa produces a sweet, warm mid-range with thicker, luscious highs, and for a soprano the intonation stays excellent right up the fretboard.

A gloss finish, Spalted Maple rosette and Rosewood binding keep it visually in step with the rest of the Koa Bird family, with an ebony bridge and fingerboard, buffalo bone nut and saddle, and aNueNue's hidden Gotoh UPT tuners. Comes with aNueNue's Deluxe Hardshell case.
