This is the smallest sibling in aNueNue's Sitka Bird 100 series - the same lattice-braced build as the UT100 tenor, distilled into a soprano body that punches well above its size.
A solid Sitka Spruce top pairs with solid African Mahogany back and sides, and that lattice bracing (borrowed from aNueNue's premium models) gives it a bigger, fuller sound than you'd expect from a soprano. Reviewers describe it as having a piano-like, vintage-style tone - soft and mellow, but still rich, warm and articulate.
The cutaway body shape, mahogany binding, and abalone soundhole decoration keep it in step with the rest of the Bird family, while an ebony headplate, bridge and fingerboard round out the appointments. Unlike its concert and tenor siblings, the US100 uses aNueNue's rear-facing Gotoh UPT tuners, which look like friction pegs but work like geared tuners. Comes with aNueNue's Deluxe Gigbag.
