Monkeyflower is a bright, green fragrance inspired by sunlit meadows, fresh flowers and warm skin.

Coltsfoot and an unusual sunscreen accord create a fresh yet softly solar opening, followed by fig, buttercup, chamomile and goldenberry for a combination of green, floral and gently fruity notes. Musk and dry hay sit underneath, giving the fragrance a soft, warm finish without losing its light, outdoorsy character.

The fragrance takes its inspiration from the Musk Monkeyflower, once enormously popular in Victorian Britain for its distinctive musky scent. Around the beginning of the 20th century, botanists noticed something strange: both cultivated and wild plants appeared to have lost their fragrance.

With no definitive explanation ever found, Stora Skuggan imagines what the missing scent might have been: a light/sunny interpretation of flowers, herbs, musk and meadow grass.
