PINE is an exploration of a single familiar material, capturing the different facets of pine from fresh green needles and young shoots to aromatic sap, dry bark and the woody forest floor.

Fresh and resinous at first, it gradually becomes deeper and drier, balancing the vivid greenness of the tree with its warmer, more woody character.

Deliberately direct by Stora Skuggan standards, PINE strips away the elaborate mythology found elsewhere in the collection and concentrates on recreating the character of the tree itself: green, aromatic, resinous and deeply woody.
