Find the edge angle with the Tormek marker method
Here's how to use the marker to set your sharpening to the existing angle of the blade:
- Color the bevel, insert your knife into the guide and adjust the angle so the whole bevel touches the grinding wheel.
- With the machine off, turn the grinding wheel manually. Check where the coloring has been removed.
- Adjust the angle and repeat until the coloring is removed on the whole bevel. Now the angle is right and it's time to start sharpening!
