Carl's Place Pro Golf Simulator Enclosure
Built For The Busy Bay

Pro Enclosure Golf Simulator

Friday night, every bay booked, and the screen has taken drives since noon. Carl's Place designs the Pro enclosure for installs that demand commercial-grade strength, and its higher screen tension holds the screen flatter than a standard build. Configure it here, see it in 3D and buy it without waiting on a quote.

A Carl's Place Pro enclosure in 18 sizes, 10.5 to 15.5 ft wide and 5 to 15 ft deep, the steel Pipe Framing Kit and Safety Baffle cut to that size, a Real Feel hitting mat, the Optoma ZW350ST short-throw laser projector with its ceiling mount, and the launch monitor of your choice from 22 radar, camera and overhead units.

Every pick updates the price and the 3D view, and the whole build goes to your cart as one package. The starting price is the base 10.5'W x 8'H x 5'D enclosure, pipe kit, baffle, mat, ZW350ST and mount at their live prices, so a sale on any part shows here the same day.

Launch Monitor

Choose your launch monitor, or bring your own

The Pro enclosure pairs with a premium launch monitor: the Foresight Sports GCQuad and QuadMAX, the Uneekor EYE XO2 or the Foresight Sports Falcon. All 22 units in the dropdown are grouped below by where they sit, so pick the group that fits your room, then the unit.

Behind the ball

6 optionsRadar
  • Sensor: Radar or radar + camera
  • Needs: Floor space behind the golfer

FlightScope X3C, Full Swing KIT, FlightScope Mevo Gen2, Rapsodo MLM2PRO, Garmin Approach R10 and Swing Caddie SC4 PRO.

Beside the ball

10 optionsCamera
  • Sensor: Camera
  • Needs: Floor space beside the ball

Foresight Sports QuadMAX, GCQuad and GC3, Garmin Approach R50, Foresight Sports GC3S, Uneekor EYE MINI, Bushnell Launch Pro Circle B Edition, Uneekor EYE MINI LITE, Bushnell LPi Circle B Edition and SkyTrak ST MAX.

Overhead

6 optionsCeiling mount
  • Sensor: Camera
  • Needs: A 9 to 10.5 ft ceiling

The Foresight Sports Falcon takes a 9.5 to 10.5 ft ceiling; the Uneekor EYE XO2, TruGolf APOGEE, ProTee VX, Uneekor EYE XO and EYE XR take 9 to 10 ft. Above that, add the Launch Monitor Ceiling Drop-Mount Kit in the builder. For the EYE XR, EYE XO and EYE XO2, Uneekor also asks for a room at least 13 ft wide, so your room has to clear that and the kit's own room minimum.

*Note: BYO Launch Monitor is the default and the package ships without one. The launch monitor comparison lines every unit up by accuracy, placement, software and price, and the golf simulator builder sizes a full setup to your room.

Carl's Place Pro Golf Simulator Enclosure, front
Enclosure and Screen

Carl's Place Pro Golf Simulator Enclosure

Carl's Place builds the Pro enclosure as its premium model, for dedicated simulator rooms, golf academies and luxury home bays.

Its rigid 2-inch EMT frame and higher screen tension hold the screen flatter than a standard build, and a projected image shows every ripple in a loose screen. The screen and enclosure are made in the USA.

  • One-piece BlackStop wraparound: no seams between panels for light to leak through
  • Triple-layer Premium screen: sharp picture in front, quieter impact behind
  • Cabled bottom edge pulls the image down to the turf with no border
  • Foam inserts, steel corner fittings, cable receivers, springs, zip ties and a frame cut diagram in the box
Room Minimums by Size

Six widths, one 16'0" depth

Every depth needs the same 16'0" run, because the enclosure sits inside it instead of adding to it. A launch monitor that sits behind the ball replaces those 5 ft with its maker's setback, which makes it 18 ft for the Garmin R10 and the Rapsodo MLM2PRO (our minimum, whatever its maker's setback), 19 ft for the FlightScope Mevo Gen2, Full Swing KIT and FlightScope X3C (FlightScope places the X3C 8 to 12 ft behind the tee), and 16 ft for the Swing Caddie SC4 PRO, whose 5 ft setback fits the same run.

10.5'W x 8'H (Carl's 8x10.5, 4:3), 5 or 8 ft deep frame 132.4"W x 102"H - min. room 11'7"W x 8'9"H x 16'0"D
11'W x 8.5'H (Carl's 8.5x11, 4:3), 5 or 8 ft deep frame 139.1"W x 107"H - min. room 12'2"W x 9'2"H x 16'0"D
12'W x 9'H (Carl's 9x12, 4:3), 5, 8, 10 or 15 ft deep frame 148.4"W x 114"H - min. room 12'11"W x 9'9"H x 16'0"D
13'W x 10'H (Carl's 10x13, 4:3), 5, 8, 10 or 15 ft deep frame 160.4"W x 123"H - min. room 13'11"W x 10'6"H x 16'0"D
14.5'W x 8.5'H (Carl's 8.5x14.5, 16:9), 5 or 8 ft deep frame 181.8"W x 107"H - min. room 15'8"W x 9'2"H x 16'0"D
15.5'W x 10'H (Carl's 10x15.5, 16:10), 5, 8, 10 or 15 ft deep frame 190.3"W x 123"H - min. room 16'5"W x 10'6"H x 16'0"D

*Note: Figures are rounded up to the next inch. Enclosure depths are true to size: 69.5, 105.5, 129.5 and 189.5 in overall, including the 9.5 in backset rear fitting, which the 12 in of clearance covers.

Carl's Place Pro Golf Simulator Enclosure, side
Frame and Baffle

Pipe Framing Kit and Safety Baffle, included

Bought on its own, the Pro kit comes with fittings and a cut diagram, and you buy and cut the 2-inch EMT yourself. Here every pipe arrives pre-cut to your enclosure size: no hardware store trip, no cutting.

The Safety Baffle hangs above the hitting area and stops a ball that skips off the top of the screen before it reaches the ceiling, lights or projector. It is sized to your enclosure width, and when you change the enclosure size in the builder, the kit and the baffle follow it.

Real Feel Country Club Elite Golf Mat
Hitting Mat

Hitting mat

The package ships with the Real Feel Country Club Elite Golf Mat, 5'W x 5'L. Its long, dense fibers let you swing down and through the turf like a fairway, it takes a real wooden tee, and the base absorbs the strike so your joints do not.

Three Fiberbuilt mats are one click away in the builder, or remove the mat if you already have one:

  • Fiberbuilt Performance Turf Tee Box Mat, 8'W x 4'L
  • Fiberbuilt 7'x4' Grass Series Single-Hitting Studio Mat
  • Fiberbuilt 9'x4' Grass Series Center-Hitting Studio Mat (right- and left-handed)
Tour Golf Simulator Landing Pad in a golf simulator enclosure
Landing Pad

Optional: Tour Golf Landing Pad

The Tour Landing Pad cushions and quiets balls dropping off the screen, keeps them from scuffing the floor or rolling under the enclosure, and bridges the gap between the mat and the screen. It is not selected by default.

Tick it and the builder preselects the size we recommend, one foot wider than the enclosure, with the length matched to its depth:

  • 11.5'W for the 10.5'W enclosure
  • 12'W for the 11'W enclosure
  • 13'W for the 12'W enclosure
  • 14'W for the 13'W enclosure
  • 15.5'W for the 14.5'W enclosure
  • 16.5'W for the 15.5'W enclosure
Optoma ZW350ST Short Throw Laser Projector
Projector

Projector and ceiling mount

The package includes the Optoma ZW350ST, a 0.521:1 short-throw projector with 3,600 lumens and a 30,000-hour DuraCore laser, so there is no bulb to replace. The ceiling mount is included.

Upgrades to 1080p and 4K BenQ short-throw projectors are available in the builder, and the ceiling mount switches to match the one you choose.

SurfThing Gaming Computer
Computer

Optional: SurfThing gaming computer and touch screen

Simulation software such as GSPro, E6 Connect and FSX Play needs a gaming-class computer, and the one you pick here arrives ready for it. SurfThing builds them for golf simulation: 32GB DDR5, a 2TB SSD and an NVIDIA RTX 50-series GPU, in a desktop tower or a laptop.

With the desktop PC, add the SurfThing DT2424H 23.8-inch touch screen to start rounds, review data and scrub swing video without walking back to a keyboard. It is not offered with the laptop, which has its own screen.

  • SurfThing Enhanced Level PC: Core Ultra 5 with RTX 5070 Ti, 32GB DDR5, 2TB SSD
  • SurfThing Enhanced Level Laptop: Core Ultra 9 with RTX 5070, 32GB DDR5, 2TB SSD
  • SurfThing DT2424H 23.8" Touch Screen Monitor, 1080p, 75Hz, 10-point touch (with the desktop PC)
3D Build View

See the bay before you buy

Before anything ships, the owner, the landlord or the contractor can see the bay as configured: the enclosure, the mat, the projector on its mount and the launch monitor, drawn at real size where they go.

The second gallery thumbnail opens an interactive 3D view of your build at real size, with the launch monitor where it belongs: behind the ball, beside it or overhead. Drag to rotate, pinch or scroll to zoom, open it full screen. Share build saves the configuration to a short topshelfgolf.com link with a picture, for a spouse, a contractor or us, and the link rides along on your cart line and order.

FAQ

Pro Enclosure Golf Simulator Questions

What comes in the Pro Enclosure Golf Simulator?

The base package is a Carl's Place Pro enclosure 10.5'W x 8'H x 5'D (one-piece BlackStop wraparound, triple-layer Premium impact screen, steel corner fittings, foam inserts, cable receivers, springs, zip ties and a frame cut diagram).

It also includes the Pipe Framing Kit and Safety Baffle cut to that size, a Real Feel Country Club Elite Mat 5'W x 5'L, an Optoma ZW350ST short-throw laser projector and its ceiling mount.

A launch monitor, Launch Monitor Ceiling Drop-Mount Kit, Movable Ceiling Crossbar, landing pad, gaming computer and touch screen are added in the builder.

Which launch monitors can I add to the Pro Enclosure Golf Simulator?

Twenty-two. Behind the ball: FlightScope X3C, Full Swing KIT, FlightScope Mevo Gen2, Rapsodo MLM2PRO, Garmin Approach R10 and Swing Caddie SC4 PRO.

Beside the ball: Foresight Sports QuadMAX, Foresight Sports GCQuad, Foresight Sports GC3, Garmin Approach R50, Foresight Sports GC3S, Uneekor EYE MINI, Bushnell Launch Pro Circle B Edition, Uneekor EYE MINI LITE, Bushnell LPi Circle B Edition and SkyTrak ST MAX.

Overhead: Foresight Sports Falcon, Uneekor EYE XO2, TruGolf APOGEE, ProTee VX, Uneekor EYE XO and Uneekor EYE XR. Picking one switches the page to that option, so the price and the 3D view match your build.

Can I buy the Pro Enclosure Golf Simulator without a launch monitor?
BYO Launch Monitor is the default: the package ships with the enclosure, pipe kit, baffle, mat, projector and mount and no launch monitor, so you can use the unit you already own and add a different one later.
Do I need a Drop-Mount Kit or a ceiling crossbar for an overhead launch monitor?

Overhead units are ceiling-specific: 9 to 10 ft for ProTee VX and TruGolf APOGEE, 9.5 to 10.5 ft for the Foresight Falcon, and 9 to 10 ft for Uneekor EYE XR, EYE XO and EYE XO2.

Above those heights, the builder offers Carl's Launch Monitor Ceiling Drop-Mount Kit, cut for each of those units in 6 in to 9 in, 12 in to 18 in, 2 ft to 3 ft and 3 ft to 5 ft drops, for a level or a sloped ceiling.

The Movable Ceiling Crossbar is optional: a stand-alone bar with fittings, pipes and a fabric sleeve sized to your enclosure width. It slides anywhere along the enclosure's depth pipes and locks in place to carry an overhead launch monitor or the projector mid-enclosure.

How much room does the Pro Enclosure Golf Simulator need?

Every size needs at least 16'0" of depth; width and height depend on the enclosure: 11'7"W x 8'9"H for the 10.5'W x 8'H kit, 12'2"W x 9'2"H for the 11'W x 8.5'H kit, 12'11"W x 9'9"H for the 12'W x 9'H kit, 13'11"W x 10'6"H for the 13'W x 10'H kit, 15'8"W x 9'2"H for the 14.5'W x 8.5'H kit, 16'5"W x 10'6"H for the 15.5'W x 10'H kit.

That is Carl's overall frame plus 3 in on each side and 3 in above. In depth it is Carl's 12 in of clearance behind the screen (which covers the 9.5 in rear fitting), 10 ft from the screen to the tee and 5 ft behind the tee to swing; a deeper enclosure sits inside that run rather than adding to it.

Overhead launch monitors need a 9 to 10.5 ft ceiling depending on the unit. For the EYE XR, EYE XO and EYE XO2, Uneekor also asks for a room at least 13 ft wide, so your room has to clear that and the kit's own room minimum.

Before you order, put a ball where the tee will go and take a slow, full swing with your longest club.

What power does the Pro Enclosure Golf Simulator need?

Everything in the package plugs into ordinary 120 V household outlets; no dedicated circuit or hardwiring is needed.

The projectors run on a 100 to 240 V supply and draw 139 W (Optoma ZW350ST) to 440 W (BenQ LK936ST), a gaming PC is a standard desktop tower or laptop, and the launch monitor runs on a small power adapter or its own battery, so one 15 A circuit carries the whole bay.

Plan an outlet at the ceiling for the projector and one near the tee for the launch monitor and computer.

Which enclosure size and depth should I choose?

Pick the widest kit whose room minimum fits, then the aspect ratio: 4:3 (10.5', 11', 12' and 13' kits) gives the tallest picture for the width, 16:9 (14.5' kit) and 16:10 (15.5' kit) are the widescreen shapes for a room that is wide but not tall.

Every width comes 5 or 8 ft deep, and the 12, 13 and 15.5 ft widths also come 10 and 15 ft deep.

A deeper enclosure puts more of the room inside the BlackStop, which catches what the screen does not and blocks more light from the image, and its longer depth pipes give the Movable Ceiling Crossbar more places to carry the projector or an overhead launch monitor. Check your room depth against the depth you pick before you order.

What size landing pad should I add?

Tick the landing pad and the builder preselects the size we recommend: one foot wider than the enclosure, 11.5'W for the 10.5'W kit up to 16.5'W for the 15.5'W kit, with the length matched to the depth: 8 ft on a 5 ft deep bay, 9 ft on 8 ft, 11 ft on 10 ft and 16 ft on 15 ft.

Runs over 8 ft are two pads laid end to end. The Width and Length menus let you go wider or longer, and the width is cut to your exact number after ordering.

Which impact screen comes with the Pro package?
The triple-layer Premium screen. Its front layer holds a sharp projected picture, the layers behind it quiet the impact, and the cabled bottom edge pulls the image down to the turf with no border. The black masking that frames the image runs 4 to 12 in. Carl's Place screens take real golf balls at full driver speed.
Does the frame come with the Pro Enclosure Golf Simulator?
Yes. This package includes the Pipe Framing Kit: every 2-inch steel EMT pipe pre-cut to your enclosure size, plus the fittings. The Safety Baffle for your enclosure width is included as well. Both follow the enclosure size you pick in the builder.
Which projectors can I choose in the builder?

Eight. The included Optoma ZW350ST 3600-Lumen WXGA Laser (0.521:1 throw), then the 1080p BenQ TH671ST 3000-Lumen (0.69-0.83:1), AH30ST 3000-Lumen LED (0.69-0.83:1), AH500ST 4000-Lumen Laser (0.5:1) and AH700ST 4000-Lumen Laser (0.69-0.83:1).

In 4K: the BenQ LK830ST 4000-Lumen Laser (0.496:1), AK700ST 4000-Lumen Laser (0.69-0.83:1) and LK936ST 5100-Lumen Laser (0.81-0.89:1). The mount switches to the right model for whichever projector you choose, and if you remove the projector the mount goes with it.

How is the projector mounted, and how far from the screen?

The included ceiling mount tilts and rotates for image alignment and switches to the right model for whichever projector you choose.

Carl's Universal Projector Mount is in the builder too: flush to a level ceiling, bolted to the enclosure frame, or on a 6 in to 9 in, 12 in to 18 in, 2 ft to 3 ft or 3 ft to 5 ft drop for a level or a sloped ceiling.

The mount distance under each projector in the builder is measured from the viewable screen of the enclosure size you pick, not the frame, with the picture sized to fill that screen in the projector's own shape: 16:9 for the BenQ models, 16:10 for the ZW350ST.

With the included ZW350ST on the base 10.5'W x 8'H enclosure, that puts the lens about 6.3' from its 10' x 7.5' viewable screen. The projector calculator shows the mount distance for any screen size.

Why does the picture run past the screen on a 4:3 enclosure?

When the projector's shape matches the screen, the picture fills it exactly; when it differs, the picture matches the screen on one side and runs past it on the other.

On a 4:3 Pro size the picture fills the height and comes out wider than the screen, and the extra width lands past the white screen on the frame or the enclosure walls.

That is normal. Set the simulator PC (display or graphics settings) or the projector, if it has a screen-fit setting, to your screen's shape and those strips stay dark.

Does the Pro Enclosure Golf Simulator include simulation software or a computer?
The Pro Enclosure Golf Simulator does not include simulation software or a computer. Simulation software is licensed separately and depends on the launch monitor you choose, and a gaming computer is optional in the builder. The SurfThing PC and laptop offered here are built for GSPro, E6 Connect and FSX Play.
Can I see my build before I buy it?
The 3D view shows your exact build at real size, with the enclosure, mat, landing pad, projector, mount and launch monitor placed where they belong, and it updates as you change any option.
Can I save or share my build?
Share build creates a short topshelfgolf.com link with a picture and an itemized list; opening it restores every selection, and the link rides along on your cart line and order.
How hard is the Carl's Place Pro enclosure to assemble?
Two people with standard hand tools. The pipes arrive pre-cut, the steel corner fittings, springs, cable receivers and cut diagram are in the box, the BlackStop wraparound goes on as one piece, and the screen tensions to the frame with the supplied cables. The assembly video is in the video section of this page.
How fast does the Pro Enclosure Golf Simulator ship?

Most items usually ship within 1-3 business days. Manufacturer delays can happen; we email tracking the moment it ships. The hitting mat, projector, projector mount and any launch monitor you add ship separately from the enclosure.

Carl's Place builds each enclosure to order and usually ships it in about a week, by FedEx or UPS ground rather than freight, so there is no delivery appointment to schedule. Manufacturer delays can happen; we email tracking the moment it ships. Expect the Pro enclosure, its pre-cut Pipe Framing Kit and the Safety Baffle to arrive separately from the rest of your order, often in more than one box. Shipping is free within the contiguous 48 states on most products over $150 (some exceptions apply). We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico.

Does Top Shelf Golf offer financing for the Pro Enclosure Golf Simulator?
Top Shelf Golf offers financing through Affirm with flexible monthly payment options. Select Affirm at checkout to check your rate; it takes seconds and won't affect your credit score. Rates are 0% to 36% APR based on credit, subject to an eligibility check.
What is the warranty and return policy for the Pro Enclosure Golf Simulator?

We're proud to say we are an Authorized Dealer/Distributor for all the brands we carry. Your launch monitor, projector and computer are covered by their manufacturer's warranty from the date of the original purchase, subject to its conditions and limitations. Carl's Place screens and enclosure materials are wearable goods, so they do not carry a warranty. Some marking and wear from the first sessions is normal, and how long a screen lasts depends on skill level, how often you play and how it is installed. If something looks unusual rather than like normal wear, send us photos and your order number and we will take it up with Carl's Place.

Impact screens can be returned unused. Once a screen has been hit, it cannot be returned. Because fit and material choice matter, measure your space before ordering.

Optoma projectors cannot be returned unless they arrive defective.

Foresight Sports hardware can be returned under our Return Policy. Items must be returned in the original packaging, and the customer pays return shipping. Opened software and downloaded software licenses are not returnable.

We want you to be happy with your purchase and enjoy it for many years to come. If you decide you want to return your product, we will gladly assist you in the process. Please inspect your purchase when your package arrives. Product received damaged must be noted with the freight carrier at time of delivery. Contact us immediately no later than 24 hours from delivery time to report the damage. We cannot accept responsibility for a damaged shipment if it is not noted as such on the freight carrier's delivery receipt. Damage must be noted at the time of delivery.

For additional details about our return process & exceptions for all the items included in the package please see our Return Policy.
