The Rainbow Warrior has earned a reputation as one of the most effective attractor nymphs ever created. Originally developed by Lance Egan, this flashy pattern consistently fools trout by combining a slim profile with just the right amount of sparkle and movement.
Whether you're fishing tailwaters, freestone streams, or spring creeks, the Rainbow Warrior is a proven producer that deserves a place in every nymph box. This kit includes all the materials needed to tie 25 Rainbow Warriors, along with access to a step-by-step instructional video from Togens Fly Shop.

Why It Works
The Rainbow Warrior doesn't imitate one specific insect. Instead, it triggers trout with a combination of flash, profile, and movement that resembles a wide variety of emerging aquatic insects.
Its flashy body makes it easy for fish to spot, while the slim silhouette and natural materials keep it looking like a vulnerable food source. The result is a pattern that produces fish year-round and often outperforms more realistic imitations.
Perfect For

- Euro nymphing and indicator fishing
- Building confidence with nymph fishing
- Anglers looking for a proven attractor pattern
How To Fish It
Fish the Rainbow Warrior as part of a two-fly rig, under an indicator, or on a euro nymph setup. It works especially well as the attractor fly paired with a more natural pattern.
Focus on achieving a drag-free drift near the bottom where trout are feeding. The flash in the fly helps trout locate it quickly, even in deeper or slightly stained water.
