A hand-painted watercolour apple tree in full fruit, with a basket and fallen apples to scatter along the skirting board. Our in-house artist painted it, and we print it on matte fabric in Melbourne, so on the wall it looks painted on.

A plain reading corner or play nook becomes an orchard: a short, sturdy trunk forks low into spreading limbs, a wide leafy crown fills with about fifty small red apples, and the apple pieces go wherever your child wants them, from the skirting board to a shelf top. It is painted in the same hand as our Farm Animals decals, so the sheep, goat and hens sit happily underneath it.

How big is it?

• 1.2m tall with a 1.6m canopy: reaches halfway up a standard 2.4m wall and spreads wide enough to fill a corner, a play nook or the wall beside a bookshelf.

What's in the pack

Two 64 × 150cm sheets of matte fabric with 7 tree pieces, labelled A to G, that overlap by 1cm and join into one tree about 160 × 120cm, plus 5 apple pieces. Sizes are width × height.

• Tree (about 160 × 120cm on the wall): A trunk 62 × 21cm, B to D lower canopy 54 × 50cm each, E to G upper canopy 54 × 50cm each.
• Apples: a single apple 9 × 11cm, a fallen apple 10 × 7cm, two apples 15 × 10cm, three apples 18 × 15cm and a basket of apples 21 × 26cm.

Start with the trunk, then add the canopy pieces in letter order. A small guide on the sheet shows where each piece goes. Our Farm Animals decals are sold separately.

All sizes are width × height, measured from the cut line.
