A great wool cap comes down to the details. We use a Schoeller wool-blend shell with a DWR finish that responds to temperature much like a pinecone, opening up in warmer conditions to release heat and closing down in the cold to help hold warmth in. A soft microfleece lining and fold-in earflaps add extra warmth when temperatures drop.
