Blanke TRIBOARD Corners — No Gaps, No Sound Bridges Where Walls Meet

The perimeter is where impact-sound isolation quietly fails, and corners are the worst offender. A straight run of perimeter tape can't wrap an inside or outside corner cleanly, so you're left folding and fudging — and every gap is a spot where bedding mortar can touch the wall and form a sound bridge that carries footfall noise straight into the structure. Blanke TRIBOARD Corners solve it with pre-formed pieces shaped to fit those corners exactly.

Choose the inside corner (CORN-I) for internal wall corners and the outside corner (CORN-A) for external corners and step-downs. Each carries the TRIBOARD uncoupling and impact-sound layer through the corner continuously, so the decoupling stays intact and the perimeter stays sound-isolated. They're 3-15/16" wide to match the corner joint tape that runs the straight perimeter between them.

Use them as part of the complete system: the TRIBOARD board in the field, the self-adhesive joint tape over the board seams, and the corner joint tape plus these corners around the perimeter.

Why Tile Pros Choose It

• Pre-formed fit: Wraps inside and outside corners cleanly
• No sound bridges: Blocks bedding mortar at the corner areas
• Continuous decoupling: Keeps the layer intact through transitions
• Inside and outside: CORN-I and CORN-A for every corner
• Matches the perimeter tape: 3-15/16" to run with the corner joint tape
• The detail that makes the 17 dB real: Corners are where quiet floors leak noise

Pro tip: Set the corners first, then run the corner joint tape into them along the straight walls, so the perimeter is one continuous wrap with no unsealed gaps. Keep bedding mortar off the wall behind the corner — that contact is the sound bridge you're working to avoid.
