This TAG drop-down adapter is built specifically for the Puffco Proxy, adding a 1 inch vertical drop to the connection point. That drop matters most for heat management: it lowers the joint down and away, moving the heat of your heated glass farther from the Proxy's own joint and body so the piece is not thermally stressed while it comes up to temperature. It also brings the working end lower and away from your face.

The adapter carries a 14MM male joint, so it seats into a 14MM female fitting. Confirm the joints on both ends match your setup before ordering. Made from heavy-wall borosilicate, it stands up to repeated heat cycles far better than thin glass.

The number is a vertical drop, not a sideways offset: it lowers the joint by roughly an inch straight down. Heat the glass gradually and let it return to room temperature before handling or cleaning. Thermal-shock and drop damage are not defects. Expect slight dimensional variance.
