This grass has been cultivated to bring you neat growth, height and visual interest through winter, even in hard-to-grow areas. The Karl Foerster Grass is the solution to give you a tall and elegant plant in overly damp or clay soil.

The Karl Foerster Grass produces feathery flowers in compact locations. With a mature width of 1-3 feet and a height of 3-6 feet, this plant fits into the tight openings in your space. Plant your Karl Foerster Grass in the background of your garden space to add vertical interest.

Blooming in early spring to late summer, you’ll get wheat-colored, wispy blooms that change into a golden color during the fall. Into winter, the stalks retain their height and tan blooms to provide appeal, even during below-freezing temperatures. Not only do these plumes remain intact during the colder months, but so does shiny green foliage.

The best part about this well-behaved cultivar is that, unlike other grass varieties, it won’t take over your planting space. Whether you're desiring to add visual interest to a large landscape, wispy grasses in containers, or a tall plant in a tight space, the Karl Green Foerster is ready to thrive.
