Hot Springs by Greta Rybus
Hot Springs: Photos and Stories of How the World Soaks, Swims, and Slows Down. A photographer's tour of the world's thermal waters, and of the people who gather in them.
Greta Rybus spent years following hot springs across continents, from Icelandic pools to Japanese onsen to hidden soaking spots in the American West, photographing not just the water but the rituals around it: who shows up, what they bring, how a town organizes its life around a warm place to sit. The result is part travelogue, part cultural study, and mostly an argument for slowing down.
