The G3 has long been the workhorse of the Simms range. Plenty of guides and serious flyfishers have spent years in them. For 2026, Simms rebuilt it from the fabric up, and the new G3 Pro is the toughest and most breathable G3 they've made.

The big change is the fabric. The lower legs and seat, where waders take the most punishment, now use Simms' four layer GORE TEX Pro shell. It's built for high resistance to pinhole punctures and is made without added PFAS. The upper is a breathable three layer GORE TEX fabric, so you stay dry without cooking on a long walk back to the car.
These are for people who fish a lot. If you're bush bashing to the next pool, kneeling on rocky banks, wading the Goulburn all weekend or guiding day after day, the G3 Pro is built for exactly that.

Our take
The G3 Pro has the same fit and features people love about the G3, now in a much tougher fabric where it counts. They aren't cheap, but if you fish hard and want waders that last season after season, this is one of the best investments you can make. We've been lucky enough to be putting these paces months before release, and we can confidently say they are thhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NI-dl6-kyuce best generation of G3 wader yet.
