Basso Astra Road Bike Frameset

The Basso Astra is a pure Italian carbon road frameset for riders who want a responsive, elegant build without over-specifying the platform. Available as a frameset at $3,599 CAD, it can also be commissioned as a curated Wheelhouse custom build.

• Sizes: 45, 48, 51, 53, 56, 58 and 61

Curated Custom-Build Options

The Astra menu is intentionally focused on components that suit the frame’s performance and value. The frameset remains available on its own, or choose from the following groupset and wheelset upgrades.

Groupsets

• Shimano Ultegra Di2 R8170 2x12 — the value-led electronic road choice and recommended Astra specification.
• SRAM Force AXS E1 2x12 — a fully wireless electronic alternative with refined ergonomics.
• Campagnolo Record 13 Wireless 2x13 — the premium Italian drivetrain option, selected in place of Super Record.

Wheelsets

• Campagnolo Shamal Carbon C21 Disc — the all-day, all-road option: comfortable, composed and versatile.
• Fulcrum Wind 42 Disc C23 — the faster, mid-depth carbon option for a more aerodynamic road build.

Not included in the Astra menu: SRAM Red, Dura-Ace, Super Record, Bora WTO Ultra, Fulcrum Speed, Lightweight and Partington wheelsets. Each custom build is finalised with Wheelhouse to confirm fit, crank length, gearing, freehub standard and tyre choice.
