The Pacific Sunset Maple is wider than the similarly named "Urban Sunset" maple but differs slightly from the "Shantung" maple in the way its canopy presents near the bottom of the tree. The canopy of the Pacific Sunset Maple will tend to fan upward like a crown, giving the tree a more rounded appearance. This tree grows well in Texas soils and sunshine while providing the incredible Autumn flair of northeastern trees. Like other Maples this tree grows quickly into a medium - large size tree.
