The Soil Makers Super Coarse Perlite — lightweight, inert growing media amendment for premium drainage and aeration.

Super coarse perlite is a lightweight volcanic glass that dramatically increases porosity in soil and growing media. Its coarse texture creates robust air pockets, preventing compaction and reducing the risk of root rot and mold that come from poor drainage. At only 6 lbs per cubic foot, a 4 cubic foot bag delivers ample material without weighing down your mix, making it easy to blend into your potting media or seed-starting mixes.

• Exceptional drainage and aeration: Coarser particles maintain ample pore spaces, keeping roots healthy in containers and raised beds.
• Long-lasting structure: The super coarse grade resists breakdown, preserving aeration and moisture management over time as roots develop.
• Versatile use cases: Ideal for seedling propagation, container gardening, and plants that demand excellent drainage—succulents, cacti, aloe vera, and Venus fly traps; also improves soil structure in vegetable gardens.
• Lightweight handling: Lightweight, easy to measure and mix, even in large batches, without adding bulk.
• Inert and clean: Pure, inert perlite that won’t introduce nutrients or pathogens, giving you full control over your fertilization plan.

Specifications: density 6 lb/ft³; packaging in a 4 ft³ bag; inert volcanic glass designed for durable aeration and moisture balance.
