Unfold the throw, lay it over the back, let it fall onto the seat and tuck in the sides. That's it. Nothing to pull on, nothing to stretch, nothing to fasten under the feet.
A throw is not a cover: it doesn't take the shape of the sofa, it drapes over it. That's what makes it quick to put on, and it's also what gives it its drape.
This one is in chenille: a thick, plush fabric with raised bands of small loops alternating with smooth bands. Warmer and more enveloping than our Woven Sofa Throw, with the same drape.
All our throws are 180 cm wide. It's the length that changes: from 90 to 420 cm, in eleven sizes.
Measure the width of your sofa from one arm to the other, on the outside, and add about 50 cm: the throw then hangs down about 25 cm on each side. Each size states the width it covers from end to end, with no overhang: ‘up to 230 cm’ just covers a 230 cm sofa. The size finder does the maths for you, for a straight, corner or U-shaped sofa.
The other way, its 180 cm width goes over the back and the seat: give the size finder the depth of your sofa and it tells you how far the throw hangs down at the front and back.
Between two sizes, choose the larger. A throw that's too short shows what it was meant to cover; a slightly long one hangs down, which is exactly the look you want.
A corner sofa is two lengths that meet: you need two throws, one for each side, often in two different sizes. Measure each side from end to end, on the outside, corner included: the throws overlap in the corner. A U-shaped sofa needs three. The size finder gives you the size for each side and adds them to your basket together.
Beyond 420 cm in a straight line, use two throws side by side, overlapping in the middle.
The price depends only on the size. No colour costs more than another.
