A 50 × 138 cm piece of faux leather with an adhesive back, to cut with scissors and stick over the damaged area. Tear, crack, snag, worn arm: the repair takes a few minutes, with no glue and no sewing: just a pair of scissors.
What it repairs
- The damaged arm, worn by the cat, the dog or simply by hands, where leather wears first.
- The cracked seat: the patch covers the whole crazed area, not just the most visible crack.
- The tear or hole, on a sofa, an armchair, a dining chair, a headboard or a car seat.
- The bag, the jacket and any item in leather, faux leather or vinyl, flat or gently curved.
Fitting in 3 steps
- Clean the area with a damp cloth and let it dry: the adhesive won't stick to a greasy or damp surface.
- Cut a shape 2 cm larger than the damaged area all the way round, and round off the corners: a square corner lifts sooner than a rounded one.
- Stick: peel off the backing film, lay the patch down starting from one edge and smooth it from the centre outwards to push out the air. Press firmly.
Then wait 24 hours before sitting on it: that's how long the adhesive needs to reach full strength.
On a very rounded arm, cut small V-shaped notches along the edge of the patch: it follows the curve without creasing.

Leather with a patina, a marbled finish or two tones will never be matched exactly: the patch comes close, it doesn't imitate it.
