Fluorite is the stone that gave us the word fluorescent, and its colours look almost too bright to be real.
Fluorite is calcium fluoride, and it grows in bands of purple, green and blue. The mixed beads show all three swirled together, while the green and blue options are sorted from the same mineral for one colour. You can also pick small round beads or chips, all on a stretchy cord.
It's traditionally linked with focus, learning and balance, so it's a favourite with students and anyone buried in a to-do list. People often wear it while studying or keep it on the desk. The colours are fun, a little bit like a watercolour painting.
How to use it
Care: Fluorite is softer than most stones, so store it apart from harder beads and keep it away from knocks.
