Design BF019 · Bramble & Fleece Autumn/Winter Collection
In matching shades to the Bramble Snood, this colourwork beanie brings warmth and a striking square design to what is otherwise a simple beanie hat. Worked in Bramble & Fleece Wooltrace DK across eight shades, it is the ultimate leftovers project.
Only the main shade is needed in quantity — the other seven are used in 25g amounts, so a single hank of Espresso plus oddments from other Wooltrace projects will see you through. Worked in the round on 40cm circulars from the brim up.
Bramble Hat is written for Bramble & Fleece Wooltrace DK, a 100% British Romney DK at 225m per 100g hank, traceable to the farm by QR code. Romney's long staple keeps an eight-colour motif crisp, which matters when the shades sit directly against one another. One hank of the main shade plus small quantities of seven accent shades.
Yes. The Bramble Snood uses the same palette and colourwork idiom, so the hat and snood work as a set from a shared set of hanks.
This is a digital knitting pattern supplied as a PDF download in English, with a colour chart, UK and US needle sizes and both metric and imperial measurements. Yarn and needles are sold separately.
