Studio 73 is the contemporary tailoring line from Swedish menswear house Cavaliere, in business since 1973 and now into its sixth decade of making classic clothes for the modern man. Design happens in Sweden, but every piece is cut and sewn at Cavaliere’s own European atelier using traditional tailoring methods rather than shortcuts — the house’s own standard is that “nothing is glued, everything is sewn.” Fabrics are sourced from OEKO-TEX® certified European mills, among them Loro Piana, Vitale Barberis Canonico and Marzotto, which is where this AW26 Brady capsule’s cloth comes from.
The Dark Brown Brady Pilot Jacket is cut from a 100% wool Capolavoro tweed, woven for Studio 73 by Loro Piana — the Italian mill regarded as the benchmark for luxury wool and the name behind some of the world’s most sought-after tailoring cloths. Capolavoro (Italian for “masterpiece”) is a dense, soft-handle tweed with a fine, textured weave that reads smart rather than rustic, holds its shape through a full season’s wear, and takes dye in deep, rich, true-to-colour tones. It’s a cold-weather cloth through and through: warm enough for daily AW26 wear, substantial enough to hold a tailored shape, and fine enough to still sit well under a coat.
As a 100% wool tweed, we’d recommend dry cleaning only, storing on a shaped hanger between wears, and letting the fabric rest a day between outings so the fibres can recover their loft.
