The Oatmeal Solar Carnation is a ceramic wall flower, 3.5 inches across, one screw, no water. The solar form has petals radiating outward from a dense center in the specific way that carnations curl when they have decided to be fully themselves. Oatmeal is the color of warmth arrived at slowly rather than announced. Two thousand years of cultivation produced this form. The oatmeal glaze produced the version that belongs in the Japan Collection.
